TV: Greys Anatomy

If I lay, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world...

One of those things that we couldn't escape no matter how hard we tried. This was another show that when first started i had no room for on my very busy TV schedule, but once again having nothing to fill the time with whilst my regular shows were on a break my friend suggested i take it up. After being forced into watching two episodes i went home and willingly pressed play and only stopped to shower. Now i can proudly say im a certified Grey's Anatomy fan. I'll do my best to break down the magic for you that has captivated me and many others before me. So hitch up your scrubs, sit down and pay attention.

Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is a twenty-something year old about to start her internship at Seattle Grace Hospital, and from the first day when she discovers that the guy who's name she barley remembers from last night is a doctor at the hospital, she knows the next few years aren't going to be easy. But as with all good medical dramas she's got a secret outside of the hospital. What makes it even trickier is that its about her own mother who used to be a legend in the exact hallways she works today.
Meredith isn't the only intern starting at Seattle Grace and its almost like we're watching a bunch of over eager students in high-school. Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) is the annoying know it all that everyone cant help rolling their eyes at, George O'mally (T.R Knight) the sweet innocent one that has a crush on the popular girl. Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) The breath taking blonde that just wants to be taken seriously and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) Your standard everyday slimy bully.

Of course you cant have a school and students without teachers, and with students battling for surgeries as opposed to A's. The teachers know they have all the power but try not to have favourites but you can always predict the inevitable.
Head teacher, or in this case Chief of Surgery and Boss of Seattle Grace would be Richard Webber. He's been at the hospital a long time and even interned there himself so its no surprise that some of his secrets are still hiding under the guernseys.
When we are first introduced to Miranda Bailey, she's a tough hard as nails surgeon and mentor that constantly reminds her new batch of students that they're the bottom of the food chain. As time goes on however she sympathises for the interns and no matter how hard she tries to resist, they keep pulling her back in.

There are a few more people i could introduce you too but i think that's enough said for today, do yourself a favour if your a fan of hospital drama and tune in to at least the first three episodes. If the show hasn't got you hooked by then....well i guess you need surgery.
As the seasons progress characters come and go, stories deepen and lies strengthen and its all under the roof of Seattle Grace Hospital, and when your working 14hours or more a day with the same people its only a matter of time before everyone in the hospital is giving you the stink eye for something your don't even know you've done yet. Its Greys Anatomy.
